Regional Training Director

The Regional Training Director is responsible for the implementation, follow-through and consistency of all educational programs throughout his/her specific region. This includes all courses that fall under Lincoln University as well as LPC policies and procedures. The Regional Training Directors will call on the LPC Professors to assist in training and classes as necessary. He/She will conduct/schedule follow-through training as deemed necessary. The Regional Training Director will implement on-going community audits in order to ensure that policy/procedure is being utilized in the best way possible.

The Regional Training Director will track the progress of new team members through an on-going follow-through system as well as track the LPC Professors in order to ensure the best quality training is being provided within the company.

EDUCATION: A high school education or equivalent is required (college degree preferred)

Support Relationship The Regional Training Director is accountable to the Vice President of Marketing and Training on a National level for LPC educational program consistency. The Regional Training Director reports directly to the Regional Vice President on a Regional level. Specific regional needs will be reviewed by the Regional Training Director and Regional Vice President in order to design schedules and programs that best meet the needs of the area, region, property, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The following outlines the complete job description of the Regional Training Director.

  • Trains and/or directs training of new team members on Lincoln University Courses
  • Coordinates all training and documents on web calendar on an ongoing basis
  • Inputs and updates all employee training on the web tracking program
  • Communicates what is expected as an employee of LPC to all levels
  • Implements continued education programs for current team members
  • Follows-through on employee progress
  • Follows-through on LPC Professor’s progress
  • Completes/coordinates 30/60/90 day follow-through with new hires
  • Communicates progress of all trainees to the Regional Vice President and Regional Property Managers. Communicates the progress of LPC training programs to the Vice President of Marketing and Training and the Regional Vice President.
  • Makes unscheduled visits to LPC Professors and trainee in order to assess progression
  • Conducts annual LPC Professor certification and recertification as needed
  • Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating all quarterly Trainer meetings

SALES SEMINARS

  • Teach Sales, Service and Teamwork School as designated on the yearly calendar to ensure all associates attend within their first six months of employment.

QUARTERLY SALES MEETINGS

  • Plans and conducts meetings/programs for quarterly recognition and awards. Determines the scheduling of the meeting and the manner in which the awards are to be presented (separate meeting, Business Manager Meeting, Service Manager Meeting, etc.)
  • Schedules any and all speakers, performers, etc. (if applicable)
  • Schedules the time and place of the meeting. (if applicable)
  • Orders all awards, certificates, and cash prizes (if applicable)
  • Makes arrangements for all decorations, food, drinks, etc. (if applicable)

MONTHLY MEETINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS

  • Responsible for heading up committees with the Regional Marketing Director to assist in special meetings and events. These might include such events as, The Gold Medallion Awards, Holiday Party, Quarterly Job Fairs/Seminars, and Monthly Managers Meetings/Retreats.

SHOPPING REPORTS

  • Follows through on the use of the LPC Shopping Report as a training tool for associates.
  • Upon request, goes to the property to conduct "follow-through" training with employees that might be struggling on their shopping reports. Counsels employees on shopping reports with the RPM or Business Manager as necessary.
  • Develops and presents incentive programs and ideas for performance improvement to the Regional Vice President.
  • Manages the entire LPC Shopping Report program, which includes scheduling, communicating scores back to employees, RPM’s and RVP, scheduling follow-through training, monitoring unacceptable performance to ensure that the region is adhering to the LPC Shopping Report policy.

MONTHLY/QUARTERLY AUDITS

  • Conducts monthly or quarterly training audits on each property in order to ensure consistency and quality within the company.
  • Puts together audit reports for the properties, the Regional Property Managers and the Regional Vice President.
  • Conducts 30-day follow-through audit report in order to assess progress
  • Makes recommendations for progression

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in all Training as necessary
  • Assists in due diligence and transitions as needed and requested by the Regional Vice President. Includes file audits, apartment inspections and shopping competitors.
  • Keeps Community Portfolio and Training manuals in stock and updated
  • Organizes and establishes an in-house library/resource center available for associates to utilize as they see necessary. Organizes all LU manual updates and communicates changes to their LPC Professor training team.
  • Coordinates and communicates all policy changes to the region
  • Evaluates the Regions performance to pinpoint strong and weak areas of performance. Evaluates and adopts new training programs that will strengthen weak areas.
  • Completes a training budget and plan for training each year for the following year. This should be presented and approved by the Regional Vice President. The calendar is then posted on the LPC web.

Preferred Education: Some College
