Through our expertly trained personnel, we provide attentive, responsive resident services including 24-hour maintenance, children’s programs, and free special events. Some communities also provide courtesy patrols, intrusion alarm systems, and Internet access. Through these efforts, our communities have won numerous awards for development and customer service including many “A” List Awards. We are in immediate need of a Staff Accountant to join our team. Following are the job requirements:
Essential Duties- AP processing- Includes review of vendor invoices, proper staff approval, coding and posting of invoices intoYardi for assigned properties.- Perform monthly review of accounts payable aging reports to ensure timeliness of payment of vendor invoices.- Responsible for all vendor activities, researching past due amounts, and duplicate payments.- Preparation and updating of supporting schedules in Excel.- Assists with small business audits, periodic internal audits, as well as yearly external financial audits.- Assists with yearly filing of IRS 1099-Miscellaneous forms.- Other accounting duties assigned by Accounting Supervisor and Portfolio Controller.- Ad hoc projects as needed.- General ledger account reconciliations.- Full time hourly position, 40 hours per week.Skill Requirements- Able to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Gmail.- Ability to take direction from multiple sources while effectively managing priorities.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Intermediate Excel skills.- Able to collaborate as part of a team.- Able to work with multiple entities.- Detail oriented.- Strong interpersonal skills.- Strong work ethic and self-motivated.Minimum Education Requirements- Associate Degree (or equivalent) in accounting/finance preferred.Work Experience- Minimum 2-3 years relevant accounting experience.- Accounts Payable experience.- Real estate industry experience is a plus.- Yardi Voyager software experience is highly desired.Should you meet the above expectations, have the experience and believe you would be an ideal match, we welcome youto apply.
