Lincoln Military Housing is hiring Lifeguards for the 2017 SWIM SEASON!
A Lincoln Military Housing Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.
You will be required to inspect the facility daily and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor. Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations. Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies. Provide emergency care and treatment as necessary and contact emergency medical services if skills beyond your training are required. Maintain accurate records. Participate in regular in-service training sessions and maintain fitness level required to perform duties. Perform additional duties as directed in order to maintain a clean and safe facility, including but not limited to removing trash, cleaning tables and chairs, scrubbing the deck, and stocking of restrooms.
Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques. Possess an understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies, and procedures. Possess skills in customer service and public relations. Possess leadership ability and decision making skills. Candidates should have the ability to act calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications: Current American Red Cross Certifications for Lifeguard Training and First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Work permit required if under 18 years of age. Must pass drug testing and background check to become a LMH employee.
